Mayokun Alade, the candidate for the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the bye-election into the Akure North/Akure South Federal Constituency, on Sunday, shunned the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Correspondents’ Chapel debate organized for candidates contesting in the election.
Others who did not assist the allege included Oluwawemimo Felicia of the Circulation Democratic Party, and Opawale Tajudeen of the Social Democratic Party.
The controversy, which took region on the NUJ Press Centre, Akure, had handiest the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Olumuyiwa Adu, in attendance.
Reacting, the moderator of the allege, Mr Bolu-Olu Esho acknowledged all candidates for the bye-election were effectively-told and they promised to assist the allege organized for them.
In preserving with Esho, it became a shock that among the candidates called when the programme had started that they were preserving meetings and would no longer be in a space to conclude motivate as promised.
