Seyfried’s work on the musical first became known this week during the Golden Globes ceremony, where the actress received a statuette for her role in the mini-series The Dropout . The theatrical version will be written by original story writer Callie Coury .
Thelma & Louise was released in 1991 and told about two friends who go on a road trip across the States and find themselves in unforeseen dangerous situations. The heroines were embodied by Susan Sarandon and Geena Davis ; directed by Ridley Scott . Kuri won an Oscar for her work.
For Seyfried and Wood, this is not the first experience of participating in musicals: Amanda played the main role in the Mamma Mia! , Evan participated in Across the Universe and in Frozen 2 . The exact start date of the Broadway performances is unknown.
