Catholic Church disowns ‘priest’ who said Igbos dominate in churches they belong to

The Archbishop of Onitsha Catholic Archdiocese, Most Rev. Valerian Okeke has rejected a priest who claimed to be of the Roman Catholic stock, Rev. Fr. Magnus Ebere for announcing Igbo folks at all times dominate in any church they help.

Ebere who runs Canaanland Adoration Ministries modified into reacting to the information of a Catholic priest in Lagos, who banned the singing of Igbo songs within the church, claiming that Igbos love dominating in any Catholic parish they receive themselves in.

In a viral video, Ebere said it modified into trusty that Igbo folks dominate of their church buildings, announcing that they were created to dominate and that they’ll at all times dominate in any church they receive themselves in.

But Bishop Okeke reacting to the video in a press free up he signed disowned Ebere, stating clearly that despite going by the title ‘reverend father’, he modified into no longer a priest of the Catholic Church, and modified into no longer under his instruction, neither is his ministry operating under the powers of the Catholic Church.

Most Rev. Okeke described Fr. Ebere’s ministry as an unlawful one, announcing: “He is no longer a priest of the Archdiocese of Onitsha and has no colleges or rights to characteristic within the Archdiocese of Onitsha.”

The Archbishop reacting to Ebere’s claims said it is correct that Igbo folks love dominating, “Rev. Fr. Magnus Ebere worsened and aggravated the subject by ignorantly confirming the accusation the suspended priest leveled against the Igbos.

“In his video which has now gone viral, Fr. Magnus Ebere made many unchristian statements which must be publicly condemned. We which technique of this reality fully condemn and repudiate such unwarranted utterances love “Igbos are Igbos, anywhere we are, we are dominion”. “for these who capture Igbos within the Catholic Church in Lagos, there’ll be no church there”, etc. here is no longer the gap of the Catholic Church in Igboland.”

Most Rev. Okeke described Fr. Ebere’s ethnocentric commentary as one from a psychiatric patient. “The Catholic Church is no longer a tribal institution and can no longer be made to behold as such. Fr. Ebere’s space doesn’t signify that of the Catholic Church nor the Igbos

“We as soon as extra warn the faithful of our Archdiocese that the activities and teachings of Fr. Magnus Ebere are bad, deceitful and inimical to their faith. Somebody who participates in his unlawful activities at Nnobi does so at his or her threat. Any Catholic who accepts his spurious teachings is operating out of doors the dilapidated and obedient teachings of the Catholic Church.

“We also publicly warn Fr. Magnus Ebere to right this moment close all his unlawful ministries at Nnobi. If he’s genuinely a Catholic priest, which he claims to be, he wants colleges from the diocesan bishop to achieve any manufacture of ministry within the Onitsha Archdiocese. No such colleges were given to him neither within the past nor within the narrate. Please be warned.”
