For the actor, the door to future DC projects is still open. After being confirmed as directors of DC Studios , James Gunn and Peter Safran quickly began making major changes to the franchise, starting with the announcement of a complete reboot of Superman.
In this regard, the opinion has strengthened that the duo plans to completely say goodbye to the actors from the so-called “Snyderverse”.
Previously, this theory has already been refuted, and now Gann decided to bring more clarity to the situation. As part of yesterday’s announcement of the first projects from the DCU’s multi-year development plan, Gunn revealed that all of the artists are still attached to their roles, but there’s no word yet on where to cast them. Separately, Gunn shared his impressions of The Flash , calling the Ezra Miller blockbuster “one of the greatest superhero films”:
The Flash is amazing! This is one of the greatest superhero films of all time. Director Andres Muschietti did an incredible job.”
Safran, in turn, touched on a delicate topic with the lead actor. Last year, due to a series of scandals with arrests, Miller put his continued participation in the DCU in great doubt, but then the actor apologized and seriously took care of his mental health. As Safran noted, when Miller is ready, he and he will discuss his further future in DC:
“Ezra is fully focused on his recovery and we support him throughout this journey. When the time is right and they feel ready for dialogue, we will choose the best way forward. But at the moment he is completely focused on his recovery. Based on our conversations over the past couple of months, it feels like he’s made impressive progress.”
