Jordan Patrick Smith: This is what the actor who played Ubbe in the Vikings series looks like now

Jordan Patrick Smith was born on June 18, 1989 in Fife, UK. Growing up in Scotland, Smith was a talented footballer and played for the Dunfermline youth academy. He studied at St Columba’s High School in Scotland. After a holiday in Australia in 2001, Smith’s family fell in love with the country and decided to emigrate. They moved to Brisbane in 2003 when Smith was 13 years old. Smith then attended Carmel Catholic College in Australia.

After finishing school, Jordan Patrick Smith took various acting courses and appeared in a few commercials for extra earnings. Before he got his acting career off the ground, he worked as a laborer raising concrete floors.

Smith joined the cast of Vikings as Ubbe in 2016, during the show’s fourth season. Ubbe was a 9th century Viking and one of the commanders of the Great Heathen Army that invaded Anglo-Saxon England. Jordan Patrick Smith’s first day of recording was quite special. Jordan Patrick Smith recalled: “I remember my first day on set because Travis Fimmel slapped me 45 times. That was my introduction to the Vikings.” A startling reminder of Ragnar’s harsh parenting methods. However, Smith confirmed that the scene was filmed so many times that Fimmell ended up slapping his son on screen more than forty times to make the scene’s intensity as authentic as possible.

Jordan Patrick Smith, the Vikings star is not married. However, he is in a relationship. Smith has been dating artist Emily Wetzel since early 2020. Wetzel runs her own candle shop called Angel Light Candles. Wetzel posted a photo of them together looking as happy as ever at the beach. However, her caption on the adorable photo sparked marriage rumors for the couple. She captioned the photo: “dodging tarantula hawks with my husband… if you don’t know what they are, google it.” This sparked comments from fans but the artists did not confirm any wedding or engagement
