Monster under bed scares kids in trailer for Stephen King’s ‘The Boogeyman’

Horror film from the creator of Astral. Online” will be released in the summer. 20th Century Studios has released the first trailer for The Boogeyman , an adaptation of Stephen King’s 1978 short story “And Came a Beech.” Sophie Thatcher (The Hornets), Chris Messina (Julie & Julia: Cooking Happiness with a Recipe), Vivienne Lyra Blair (Obi-Wan Kenobi), Marin Ireland (The Irishman), Madison Hu (“The Goldbergs”) and David Dastmalchian (“Suicide Squad: Mission Through”)

The story revolves around high school student Sadie Harper (Thatcher) and her younger sister Sawyer ( Lyra Blair ), who have recently lost their mother. Due to the death of a loved one, the girls not only had to face terrible grief, but also learned to live in a strained relationship with their father ( Messina ). Some time after the tragedy, they begin to notice that some strange and frightening creature is hiding in the dark corners of their house, feeding on the suffering of people.

The film is directed by Rob Savage, creator of the horror films Astral. Online” and “Registrar”. The screenplay was written by Mark Heyman (Black Swan) with A Quiet Place writers Scott Beck and Bryan Woods.

It is noteworthy that the new film will not be the first attempt at the adaptation of “And Came Buka”. In 2005, director Stephen T. Kay released the film “Bogeyman”, but the picture did not win much love from critics or viewers. Later, the tape received two sequels, which were released in 2007 and 2008.

The premiere of the new “Bogeyman” will take place on June 2 this year.
