In their post announcing the sequel, they wrote, “More gore. More honey.” Also attached to the publication was a poster for the future picture with a huge bloodied number 2 in the center and the slogan “Friends will gather to take revenge …” at the top of the image.
Although Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey director Rhys Frake-Waterfield has repeatedly stated his desire to direct the second part, the new post is the first official confirmation that the team has begun work on the sequel. In a recent interview, the director also said that he was very inspired by last year’s popular horror film Horrific 2 and intends to use it as a creative guide in the development of the sequel. Other details of the future project are still unknown.
According to the plot of “Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey”, a long time ago, Christopher Robin (Nikolai Leon) left his native land, leaving his little forest friends to fend for themselves. Having lost the food that the hero brought them, Winnie the Pooh and Piglet began to slowly go crazy with hunger, turning into crazy cannibals. Years later, Christopher brings his young wife to the woods to introduce her to childhood friends. Then the completely wild and bloodthirsty Winnie and Piglet decide to cruelly take revenge on the traitor who abandoned them.
“Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey” will be released in Russian cinemas on February 16.
