Paramount+ removes injuries from Jeremy Renner in series poster after accident

Paramount + made a subtle edit to the poster for the new season of Mayor of Kingstown after the accident that befell the star of the series, Jeremy Renner, in real life. As Variety noted, the new version removes nearly all of the bruises that could be seen on Renner’s face in the original poster.

Above, you can see Renner’s face in the new poster, which also appears at the top of Paramount+’s Twitter profile. Below, check out the original poster, released in December – weeks before the actor’s accident.

Renner was hospitalized in critical condition after being hit by a snow plow on January 1. After undergoing multiple surgeries, the actor announced yesterday (17) that he has been discharged from the hospital and is recovering at home.

In Mayor of Kingstown, the actor plays an ex-convict turned boss of the powerful McLusky family, who rule the city of Kingstown with an iron fist. The second season premiered on Sunday (15) on Paramount +.
