A new episode of the post-apocalyptic show will be released at the end of the week. Streaming service HBO Max has unveiled the trailer for the fourth episode of the first season of the post-apocalyptic series The Last of Us .
The cutscene begins with Ellie ( Bella Ramsey ) and Joel ( Pedro Pascal ) finishing their camp in the woods. Joel is trying to make breakfast, but it suddenly turns out that Ellie hates coffee. She tells her companion that his drink “smells like burnt shit”, but apparently the hero is not at all embarrassed by this. We are then shown the couple continue to Wyoming in Bill’s (Nick Offerman) and Frank’s (Murray Bartlett) car. While Joel is driving, Ellie is trying to find the right way on the map.
They soon stop a car in a dangerous town, where a wounded man approaches them, seeking help. Joel immediately begins to suspect that the stranger may be bitten or just want to lure them into a trap, so he immediately tries to drive away from him as far as possible and crashes into the wreckage. A new character then emerges in Kathleen ( Melanie Lynskey ), who, after holding a gun to her hostage’s head, asks him for the whereabouts of an unnamed person. The rest of the video hints that the upcoming episode will be filled with action and the characters’ attempts to survive in an unfriendly city.
The series was directed by Jeremy Webb, who previously worked on series such as Merlin, The Punisher, and The Umbrella Academy.
The fourth episode of The Last of Us will premiere on February 5.
