Phoebe Dinevor Won’t Appear in Bridgerton Season 3

Probably, the actress will follow the example of her colleague Rege-Jean Page, completely switching to other projects.

The star of the hit first season of The Bridgertons, Phoebe Dynevor, will definitely not return as the young Duchess Daphne in the upcoming third season of Netflix’s costumed melodrama. The actress revealed this in a recent interview with Variety:

The third season of the show based on the ladies’ novels of Julia Queen was based on the fourth book of the writer called “Where Love Rules”. This time around, Penelope Featherington (Nicola Cochlan) and Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) will be in the center of the plot. Recall that in the debut season, the relationship between the Duke of Hastings ( Rege-Jean Page ) and Daphne (Dinevor) was in the foreground, while the main characters of the second were Anthony (Jonathan Bailey) and Kate Sharma (Simon Ashley).

Jess Brownell (Inventing Anna) is the showrunner for the third season. Shonda Rhimes and Chris Van Dusen once again shared executive producer duties.

A release date for the third season of Bridgerton hasn’t been announced yet, but this year Netflix will definitely release a spin-off about Queen Charlotte’s youth.
