Rupert Grint is confident that the reboot of “Harry Potter” in the format of the series will certainly work

The actor said that he dreams of transferring the role of Ron Weasley to another performer.

Rupert Grint , who portrayed Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter film series , believes that Warner Bros. The fantasy franchise should be rebooted as a TV series. The actor shared his opinion in a new interview with GQ Magazine UK:

“I would love to see Harry Potter made into a TV show. I think that such a project will certainly work. I’m sure that one day the films will still be remade.”

According to Grint, he is very proud that he once became one of the main faces of the franchise, but in the future he would like to transfer his role to another performer:

“I feel like letting someone else play Ron would create an important sense of continuity in this franchise. It is strange that once I was able to feel this character so strongly, and then it was me who was chosen to embody him on the screen. It’s hard for me to let him go. But I think it would be the right move.”

In addition, the actor admitted that during the filming of ” Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire ” he was diagnosed with tonsillitis (inflammation of the tonsils of the pharynx), but the commitment to his work and dedication for a long time did not allow him to take up treatment:

“While I was doing films, I just didn’t have time to do it. From Goblet of Fire to the last installments of the franchise, I’ve always felt bad. My tonsils were just huge. As soon as we finished shooting, I immediately deleted them. It was one of the best decisions of my life.”

Grint is currently promoting M. Night Shyamalan’s new horror film Knock on the Door , in which he plays one of the lead roles. The film will be released on world screens the day after tomorrow, February 3.
