Santo Maldito, Star+’s new national series, has its premiere date today (17), in addition to a preview – which you can see above. According to the streaming platform, the title starring Felipe Camargo will be released on February 6.
Read the synopsis: “When Reinaldo’s wife enters a vegetative state, he takes the desperate attitude of putting an end to this suffering, but, by a ‘miracle’, Maria Clara (Ana Flavia Cavalcanti) wakes up. He didn’t know it, but it was filmed by a member of a small church on the outskirts. In the eyes of the camera, a divine phenomenon took place. Samuel (Augusto Madeira), pastor of a humble church, offers all his savings so that Reinaldo can preach to his faithful, believing he is in front of an enlightened man. In his journey as a religious leader who does not believe in God, the professor has his convictions shaken, discovering truths between heaven and the abyss”.
The cast also includes Barbara Luz (Unicorn), Marina Provenzzano (All the Women in the World), Vinicius Meloni (All the Dead), Helena Albergaria (Que Horas Ela Volta), Mariana Sena (Mar do Sertao), Joao Assunçao (Entre Idas e Vindas), Flavio Bauraqui (Archangel Renegade) and Ravel Cabral (Insania), with special participation by Othon Bastos (Depois do Universo).
The first season has eight episodes and general direction by Gustavo Bonafe (Insania).
