By Kolade Adeyemi, Jos

The Senator representing Plateau South in the National Assembly Prof. Dame Nora Ladi Daduut yesterday empowered over 100 women of her constituency with starter packs and grants in the Wase Local Government Area of the state.

“The socio-economic independence of the woman is paramount and they deserved to be empowered more.

“I believe in empowerment because that’s the quickest way to create wealth and bridge the unemployment gaps,” she said.

The Senator had, some months ago, distributed empowerment kits to 175 members of her constituency.

Dadu’ut also empowered over 150 youths and women of her constituency with grants worth N3.75 million in March 2021. She urged public officials to make the empowerment of those who elected them a priority.

Represented by her Special Adviser on Political Matters Musa Sa’ad, the Senator said she facilitated the empowerment to further impact the lives of the people.
