Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule has asked for the quick take-off of the Flour Mills Nigeria Plc project in Toto Local Government Area of the state.
Governor Sule said it is important for the timely and speedy implementation to be set, as his administration is in a hurry to industrialise the state and to tap from the numerous advantages.
A statement signed by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary Ibrahim Addra which was made available to our correspondent, stated that Governor Sule said this yesterday when he visited the Flour Mill of Nigeria’s corporate headquarters in Lagos.
Governor Sule’s visit was coming days after the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that will see Flour Mills Nigeria Plc investing up to 300 million dollars to establish a sugar factory in the state.
At the meeting with the management of Flour Mills Nigeria Plc, the company gave assurance of faithful implementation of its programme as soon as land survey and compensations are completed.
The firm’s sugar project is to be located on about 20 thousand hectares of land in Toto LGA.
The Group Managing Director (GMD) of Flour Mills Mr Omoboyede Olusanya thanked Governor Sule for the support extended to the company and the opportunity to do business in Nasarawa.
