Actor Pedro Pascal and Craig Mazin , producer and writer of The Last of Us series , spoke about the resemblance between Joel and the Mandalorian in a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter .
According to Mazin, the two characters played by Pedro Pascal may have a similar mission and personality, but the dynamic between Joel and Ellie is completely different from that between the Mandalorian and Baby Yoda:
Pedro Pascal also revealed that, after learning more about the Naughty Dog game , he began to notice The Last of Us references in several productions. For him, the similarities between his characters in the HBO and Disney+ series exist and he couldn’t imagine anything better.
HBO ‘s adaptation of The Last of Us hits HBO Max on January 15th . The series stars Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey , in the roles of Joel and Ellie.
