Management of the University of Jos has announced that academic activities will resume on Monday, June 7.
The Nation reports that the institution was closed down some fortnight again following a security threat.
In a statement by the Registrar University of Jos. Monday Danjem said: “The University wishes to inform all members of staff and students of the university, parents, guardians as well as members of the public that academic and administrative activities will resume in the University on Monday, June 7.
The statement reads: “This follows wide consultation of all stakeholders in the university, including Deans and Directors, Heads of Departments, the four staff unions ASUU, SSANU, NASU and NAAT, the leadership of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) and the Students’ Union Government (SUG).
“The management wishes to assure all members of the university community that adequate security measures have been put in place to ensure their safety.
