Details of Late Sir Victor Uwaifo’s conversation during a musical collaboration with his nephew, Peter de Rock over a week ago have emerged.
The 80-year-old ‘Joromi’ crooner, according to his family, died of chest infection on Saturday.
Peter de Rock shared the details on Facebook on Monday morning.
He attached four pictures of moments they shared together in the post.
He disclosed the music icon told him he would never see him appear in his video again if he didn’t seize the opportunity of his presence at the time of recording a gospel song ‘Hallelujah’ to shoot the music video.
The gospel artist further explained how he had to improvise with a camera meant for behind the scene shoot to capture some scenes featuring the veteran musician and varsity don.
He wrote: “See daddy, you better wake up and tell us it’s a lie.
“This means you knew you were leaving by telling me if I did not shoot the video now I will never see you appear in my video again.
“After collaborating with you, we did not have any option than to use the camera that was meant for behind the scene to take your part in the video shoot.”
Tributes, from the presidency to eminent Nigerians, have continued to pour in for the late professor of visual arts.
