Beyoncé is First Black Woman to Top Billboard Country Chart

Renowned Grammy winner Beyoncé has once again etched her name in the annals of history, marking a significant milestone by becoming the inaugural black woman to claim the summit of the esteemed Billboard country music chart.

This remarkable feat was realised following the soaring success of her latest single, “Texas Hold ‘Em,” which catapulted to the number one position on the country radio listing for the current week.

Released on February 11 amidst the fervour of the Super Bowl, “Texas Hold ‘Em” was accompanied by another track titled “16 Carriages,” which also made an impressive debut on the same chart, securing the ninth spot.

Anticipation is now rife as both tracks are slated to feature in Beyoncé’s forthcoming country-themed album, aptly named “Act II,” scheduled for release on March 29. This album serves as a sequel to her critically acclaimed Renaissance album of 2022, fondly referred to as “Act I: Renaissance.”
