Arsenal send physiotherapists to see after Partey at Ghana training camp

Arsenal have sent their physiotherapist Simon Murphy to Ghana’s training camp in the US to check on midfielder Thomas Partey during the international break.

Recall that Arsenal had sent Murphy to Ghana in March to deal with an injury in Partey.

Partey has been battling a groin injury this 2023/24 season.

The 30-year-old missed four consecutive Premier League games for the Gunners before returning in last Sunday’s 1-0 win over Manchester City.

Partey was seen in the last 15 minutes of the match after coming off the bench.

The former Atletico Madrid star also missed Arsenal’s Champions League win against PSV and the Carabao Cup win against Brentford.

Having just returned from the groin problem, Arsenal decided to send Murphy to Ghana to avoid worsening his injury during the match for the Black Stars.

The Black Stars will meet Mexico and the United States in international friendly matches on Sunday and Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Arsenal face Chelsea after the international break on 21 October and they want to make sure Partey is fully fit for the Premier League game at Stamford Bridge.
