The play “The first Shadow” takes place in 1958 and is portrayed as an ordinary city that struggles with its daily worries. Young Jim Hopper’s car won’t start, Bob Newby’s sister refuses his radio show, and Joyce Maldonado dreams of finishing her studies and leaving town. However, the arrival of a new student, Henry Creel, shows that starting over is not as easy as it seems. In this fairy tale, the ghosts of the past cast long disturbing shadows on the present.
