The script is written by Kate Treffry and directed by Stephen Daldry under the co-direction of Justin Martin, and it has an impressive cast.

The play “The first Shadow” takes place in 1958 and is portrayed as an ordinary city that struggles with its daily worries. Young Jim Hopper’s car won’t start, Bob Newby’s sister refuses his radio show, and Joyce Maldonado dreams of finishing her studies and leaving town. However, the arrival of a new student, Henry Creel, shows that starting over is not as easy as it seems. In this fairy tale, the ghosts of the past cast long disturbing shadows on the present.

Video design and visual effects are implemented in 59 productions with original music and arrangements by D. J. Walde and choreography by Coral Messam. The creative producers of the production are the Duffer brothers, and 21 Laps Entertainment is its associate producer. The original story is a collaboration between the Duffer brothers, Jack Thorne and Kate Treffry.
