Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth will be released in February 2024

As part of the State of Play on September 14, 2023, Sony announced the planned release date of Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth. It will be released on PS5 on February 29, 2024. It’s been a little less than four years since the release of Final Fantasy VII: Remake.

The announcement is accompanied by a new trailer that shows a nice mix of old and new. Vincent appears, but we only see the back of his truly epic mule. We have an idea about Juno. Tifa also mentions weapons, additional bosses from the original version. Golden Saucer appears with Chocobo Racing.

Cloud rides a segway in a pastel polo shirt. We don’t remember this happening in the PS1 title.

Nevertheless, it is good. We always had the feeling that Final Fantasy VII has a lot in common with its style, even when the plot was sometimes a little lacking. Remakes go a long way to preserving that while at the same time giving the world a little more confidence.

Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth will be released on PS5 on February 29, 2024.
