Ubisoft has confirmed that The Division 3 is in development

Ubisoft has confirmed that Tom Clancy’s The Division 3 is in development, and Massive Entertainment is leading the development. The French publisher also announced that it has invited Julian Gerity as the new executive producer of The Division brand. He will embark on a new role as soon as his work as creative director at Star Wars Outlaws is completed.

In a tweet, Mass announced Jerity’s arrival at the franchise. According to the announcement, he will oversee all games and products, including Tom Clancy’s The Division 3, which is managed by Massive Entertainment, which is actively forming a team for the game.

Development of ‘Division 3′ begins after ‘Outlaws’

Mass is currently developing Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora and Star Wars Outlaws. The Swedish company, acquired by Ubisoft in 2008, is also behind the first 2 games of The Division franchise. As soon as Star Wars Outlaws is released, Jerity will fully assume the role of executive producer and help form a team for the 3rd game. Until then, he remains fully committed to making Star Wars Outlaws a success for both the development team and the fans.

Ubisoft’s confirmation of The Division 3 is certainly not surprising, as Jerity casually mentioned that the franchise has acquired about 40 million players.

We may have over 40 million players, but the division is still in its infancy as a franchise, Gerity said in a statement. There are so many incredible stories to tell, places to explore, and people to protect.

There is a strong feeling that the division is here to stay and grow. With today’s announcement, The Division 3 becomes the third game in the series, which is currently being developed by Ubisoft. The Division Heartland, a free shooter coming out on consoles and PCs, is headed by Red Storm Entertainment. And in case you forgot, like us, Ubisoft is also developing The Division Resurgence for mobile devices.
